GVA Williams Re-Brands as FirstService Williams

On September 16, 2008, GVA Williams and FirstService Corporation (NASDAQ:FSRV; TSX:FSV) entered into a definitive agreement for FirstService to acquire an interest in the New York-based, full-service commercial real estate firm. The firm announced today that it will be renamed FirstService Williams.
The partnership with the FirstService Corporation not only lends global reach, but significantly enhances the firm’s suite of service lines. FirstService Commercial Real Estate is the fourth largest commercial real estate services company in the world with more than $1 billion in annualized revenues. FirstService Commercial Real Estate has 186 company-owned offices in 36 countries. The division includes controlling interests in Colliers International, Williams Real Estate, Cohen Financial (loan origination), PKF Hotel and Hospitality Consulting, PGP Valuation Inc and MHPM Project Managers.
FirstService Williams will become the New York hub of FirstService’s Commercial Real Estate Services division.
